As a longtime member of the "Orquestra Jazz Sinfonica do Estado de S�o Paulo", Brazilian percussionist, drummer and educator Rog�rio Boccato has played with Antonio Carlos Jobim, Hermeto Pascoal, Milton Nascimento, Cl�udio Roditi, Egberto Gismonti, Jo�o Bosco, Joe Zawinul, and John McLaughlin, among many others.

Recently relocated from Sao Paulo to the New York area, Rogerio is featured on percussion on Kenny Garrett�s 2007 Grammy-nominated album "Beyond The Wall" (Nonesuch Records) and on John Patitucci's soon to be released CD, alongside Joe Lovano and Brian Blade.
He has also played with John Patitucci, Dave Stryker, Steve Davis, John Benitez, David Berkman, Dena DeRose, Paul Bollenback, Vana Gierig, Mike Holober, Ted Piltzecker, Ben Allison, and with top-ranking Brazilian artists, such as Toninho Horta, Dori Caymmi, Moacir Santos, Rique Pantoja, Z� Renato, Zizi Possi, Jane Duboc, Andr� Mehmari, Roberto Sion. He is part of the �guaMarinha Trio, with Arismar do Espirito Santo and Vinicius Dorin, two of the most amazing musicians in Brazil.

Rogerio Boccato is currently a faculty member of the Percussion department of The Hartt School (University of Hartford), and Queens College of New York.
He has been presenting clinics on Brazilian music, focusing on traditional Brazilian rhythms and styles applied to the drum set and to Jazz combo, which have been enthusiastically received at universities around the United States, Mexico and Portugal. The Litchfield Jazz Festival installed Boccato as artist-in-residence since 2001.
